Excellent article. With our 14 month old daughter (she is our first), the teething has been one of the most trying things about parenting so far. She got her first set (top and bottom 4 teeth) when she was 3-4 months old... and is recently cutting her eye teeth. Many sleepless nights... one thing that works well to soothe her pain is to take a ziplock bag, put a little water in it, and freeze it. Rub it on her gums, and let her bite on it a little, but be very watchful for tears in the plastic - don’t want her to swallow any pieces of it! - A frozen clean washcloth works well too.
